SOME OF THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS FLOWER/PLANT [SAMPLE]

1) What you SEE is what you GET - A beautiful TECTORUM TILANDSIA, or air plant, that looks EXACTLY like the photo. My plant is 7 inches WIDE, and 5 inches TALL, which is pretty big. Honestly, had I known the plant was THIS big, I would have gone with the smaller version of the same plant. The reason the plant is so pricey, is that it grows VERY slowly. However, its also difficult to kill. Airplants which are white, have adapted to withstand high levels of sunlight. (white is reflective.) Also, the hairy leaves are actually adaptations for surviving in hot, dry weather. The hairy fibers on the leaves are of course the root hairs, since no roots exist for this plant, other than an occasional ancoring root to posistion the plant. These extra fibers would pick up the slightest dew, humidity or shower, and yank the moisture from the air into the plant. Its those white fuzzy filliments, which make this plant so unusual. I have mine mounted on some ancient bonsai-esque rosewood, along with a few smaller Tillandsias. It looks smashing! Give this plant some strong light, occasional misting, and protection from hungry dogs, cats and babies, and it should eventually bloom, then have pups you can adopt or give away to good homes.

2) Fuzzy Giant is Right! - I purchased this plant from Garden in the City, and I have been happy with every plant I've purchased from them. So far, I have purchased the Large Xerographica, XL Andreana, the Ionantha Red 5 Pack, and this seriously Fuzzy air plant. I was not disappointed. It looks just like the picture and it is about the size of a grapefruit. It is a very funky looking airplant because of the fuzzy fronds? needles?. I love it!
